What do I need to register my child at your school?

You need to fill out our registration packet.  We also need up to date immunization records and a birth certificate.

Yes.  We welcome visitors.  Just call the school office at 228-2200 and make an appointment.

How do I find out if it is a snow day?

The local radio stations start making those announcements as soon as they are contacted--usually by 6:00 a.m.   the local stations are KFMJ at 99.9 FM, KRBD at 105.3 F.M., 90.1 F.M., 90.7 F.M., 101.7 F.M. or 107.1 F.M., KTKN at 930 A.M., and KGTW Gateway at 106.7 F.M.

What are your school hours?

School hours for students in first to sixth grade are 9:00 to 3:20.  Kindergarten students go from 10:00 to 3:20 first semester and 9:00 to 3:20 second semester.

Where are you located?

Fawn Mountain School is located 4 miles south of Ketchikan on the Tongass Highway.  Turn onto Old Homestead Road and go up the hill for about 1/2 mile.
