PARENT TEACHER ASSOCIATION

Fawn Mountain Elementary School is a PTA school.  We are part of the National PTA and State Association who provide us with resources and services for our school.  Parents are important at Fawn Mountain and we want our families to be partners in their children’s education because it does make a difference.  Our PTA represents a partnership that includes families, teachers, staff and the principal.  We act together for our children during their elementary years.  We seek to provide for all children.

              Our PTA meets once a month on the first Monday of the month at 6:30 p.m.  We try very hard to keep meetings short and productive.  Weekly bulletins go home to all families with meeting reminders.

              Our PTA is a working involved PTA.  In the past we have sponsored activities including back to school and ethnic pot lucks, T-shirt sales, student council, “Reflections” cultural arts national contest, gift wrap sales, holiday bazaars, and children book fairs.  All these wonderful programs take time and work.  Fawn Mountain is a family school and we invite you to help us on behalf of all Fawn Mountain students.  Let us provide our children the best elementary education possible.

*To promote the welfare of children and youth in home, school, community

*To raise the standards of home life

*To secure adequate laws for the care and protection of children and youth

*To bring into closer relation the home and the school, that parents and teachers may cooperate intelligently in the education of children and youth

*To develop between educators and the general public such united efforts as will secure for all children and youth the highest advantages in physical, mental, social and spiritual education

You may purchase clothing from Lands' End with the Fawn Mountain Logo embroidered on it.   It is simple. Just pick out an article of clothing from the Lands' End catalog or web site.  Call Lands End at 1-800-469-2222.  Mention the Logo Number: 0639748K and the Preferred School #9001-0711-1. It adds $8 to the cost of the article of clothing.

The school logo looks good on red, black or white clothing.
